Care, Costs & Repairs

Obligation to Report: You are required to report any damage immediately. You will be held liable for any consequential damage caused by failing to report a defect (e.g., a small leak becoming a major mold issue).

Quick Report via QR: Use the QR codes located in your room and common areas. Reports go directly to our Facility Department for fast processing.

Facility Service: Reachable Mon–Thu via service@homestay-ag.ch. Repairs by our team or external partners may also take place on Fridays.

Kitchen & Small Items: Small inventory (plates, glasses, burnt pans) must be replaced independently and immediately if lost or damaged due to personal fault.

Lifespan & Wear: Normal Wear and Tear: If a piece of furniture or an appliance has reached the end of its lifespan, Homestay AG Switzerland will cover the replacement costs.

Building Insurance: Major Damages: In case of fire or water damage, an expert from the building insurance company will be involved. In cases of personal fault, the insurance may seek recourse.

Personal Liability: For damages caused by personal fault, you can pay invoices directly or forward them to your private liability insurance. Please check your individual deductible beforehand.

Inventory Check: Upon move-out, everything must be present as defined in your handover protocol. Please check the inventory list well in advance of your departure.

Final Handover: A joint inspection takes place before move-in and move-out. Replace missing items beforehand to avoid extra costs. You must inform Homestay AG Switzerland about any such replacements.
